Why id Holt still considering a run for Governor. The pary has united behind Asa and Holt needs to focus on one race and show people he is committed not just a political opportunist.
Holt was asked what piece of legislation he was most proud of and he stumbled all over himself. Matayo gave one answer: his bill to streamline the adoption process. Good answer.
Also, check out nwapolitics.com, where there is a post on the Holt confusion over what office he wants to hold. Guess all he knows is he wants to hold SOME office. Just not sure which.
Holt is running for Lt. Governor. The report is mis-information from some reporerette who looks like she should still be in high school journalism class trying to produce a story.
She asked him if he was running for Governor. He answered forthrightly that he was focused on running for Lt. Governor.
She asked him if he had ever CONSIDERED running for Governor. The only honest answer was that he had considered it when people came up to him and asked him to run.
That has been twisted into a story that he has not made up his mind yet. Folks, he is running for Lt. Governor. He is behind Asa for Governor. Trust me on this. I just visited him today on this.
If this Lt. Gov. primary came down to two candidates, either by attrition or run-off, which would you support in each of the six possible scenarios? Why?
Banks vs. Calhoun
Banks vs. Holt
Banks vs. Matayo
Calhoun vs. Holt
Calhoun vs. Matayo
Holt vs. Matayo

I hope that Jim Holt does well in his run for lieutenant governor. His webpage is www.jimholt.us .
His election would throw the editorialists at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette into a real tizzy. 8-)
The editorialists at the ADG have been in a tizzy over Holt for years. It's the coronary symptoms I'll be watching for :)
